We often talk now about workflow automation, especially in large companies and big-scale production. But usually we immediately picture working with documents, data processing, invoices, writing reports and all that stuff. Personally I had never even heard about this computer vision, and it’s basically the same kind of automation, sometimes even more effective and needed. For example, to detect defects faster on a conveyor belt. A person can miss something, but cameras with special software keep everything under control.
